I'm interested in journalism that goes beyond the surface of a headline. For me, the most compelling stories are often found in the questions that follow: Why did this happen? Who is affected? Whose voice is missing? Who holds the power? And what are we not talking about?

My interests are broad because the world is broad.

I'm drawn to stories about social justice, human rights, inequality, politics, culture, religion, identity, technology, freedom of expression, discrimination and the experiences of ordinary people living through extraordinary circumstances.

I'm particularly interested in stories that challenge assumptions and encourage people to look at familiar issues from a different perspective. Sometimes that means investigating an injustice. Sometimes it means giving a voice to someone whose experience has been overlooked. And sometimes it means asking a difficult question that doesn't have an easy answer.

I believe journalism has an important role in society—not simply to report what is happening, but to question, investigate, listen and hold a mirror to the world around us.

The digital age has also changed what journalism means. Anyone can publish information, reach millions of people and shape a public conversation. But with that power come difficult questions about misinformation, algorithms, censorship, media responsibility and who ultimately controls the stories we see.

These are the questions I want to explore.

My approach to journalism is grounded in curiosity, fairness, empathy and a willingness to question. I don't believe every story needs to tell people what to think. I believe the best journalism can make someone pause and think for themselves.
